From over 12 years breeding experience and over 30 years of training experience the breeder gives information on how to raise and train Long Haired German Shepherds. She breeds Long-Coated German Shepherds from top German show and working lines with deep red brown pigmentation in a family environment with children. The puppies are extremely well socialized.

We select very carefully, before we decide which sire will be used for one of our dams. The dam and sire have to be x-rayed in hips and elbows and the results (similar to OFA rating in the US) will be put into the Pedigree. Only dams and sires with good results can enter the breeding program. Both dam and sire have to pass a 16 miles endurance trial, an obedience trial and they have to be shown at least in one show and get rated for their gait and the standard of a GSD. Before going into the breeding program the dam and sire have to be presented to a judge and pass several tests for their temperament. The dam and sire have to be vaccinated every year. A dam and a sire have to be at least 18 months old to go into the breeding program.
We do give out feeding and handling tables and even after the purchase we will be always available with answers to questions, which might occur. For that reason we like to stay in contact with our buyers continuesly.
The new buyer should know a lot about the breed and needs. He should read carefully on our webpage about purchasing a male or a female and if the buyer decided for either one, how come he came to this decision. A GSD is a very active breed and the buyer has to know this. A GSD is not a breed you just purchase and then leave it to himself. We look into this very carefully. We only sell to families, who keep their dog within the family, have plenty of time for this animal. We do not sell to people, who keep their dogs just outside. Our dogs are raised with a lot of love and understanding from day number one and we want to make sure, that the dog will continue having a lovable and understanding environment in his later life.
Our kennel only exists, because of the wonderful dog named "Barrett", which the owner had to say good-bye to in the year of 2007 after having him with her for 13 1/2 years. She raised him herself, he grew up to be an extremely smart German Shepherd with a lot of expressiong, deep red and black pigmentation and a pride, she had never seen in her life in a dog. Until then in 1993 she only had trained long coated German Shepherds. But when Barrett was born and grew up into this wonderful dog, she decided, she wanted to raise dogs like this and make many families happy to be able to own such a wonderful animal.
Since that time she had over 35 litters and made many families fortune to own such a great animal. She named her kennel after this special dog "Barrett". Unfortunately she had to say Goodbye to him in the year of 2007. She knows, although Barrett is no more longer with her, his bloodline is in most of her dams and will throughout the years produce wonderful dogs like Barrett was.
