About Our Chinese Crested Dog Puppy Breeding Program

Hi! I'm Deb Kisgen. I grew up on a ranch in South Dakota, rodeoing and attempting (LOL) to train horses. My grandfather, Wayne Evridge, gave me a great respect and love for animals. He taught me a great deal about breeding. He raised top quality quarter horses and was a National Youth Director for the American Quarter Horse Association for many, many years. He was one of four people chosen by the AQHA to select the site for the Quarter Horse Hall of Fame. I learned so much from him and miss him dearly.

I chose the Chinese Crested breed because they look like little horses. I am also chemical sensitive and very allergic but Chinese Cresteds do not bother my allergies. After I got my first one, I was hooked! They are so amazing, beautiful and comical!

We have lived in Gillette, WY since 1994. We breed for excellent quality in conformation, temperament & movement. We constantly strive to raise the standard.

My puppies are born in my bedroom where they remain until they are about 4 weeks old. The are handled daily and begin bonding at birth. I believe in imprinting puppies just as horses are imprinted. As soon as their eyes are open, they begin show training...LOL. At this time, I begin getting them comfortable with stacking on the grooming table.

At about one month old, the puppies are moved to the kitchen/living room where they become accustomed to many noises, people coming in and out, and other dogs (seperated by an ex pen, of course, to insure their safety.) The get handled, played with and loved dailey.

All my adult dogs are cycled from their rooms to the living room dailey to be loved and handled. The puppies begin their house training by using puppy pads in their ex pen. All of my puppies homes are carefully selected.

We have several lines so we can provide the very best of breeding stock. Many of our puppies go to show homes.

My husband, Mike, is a Production Supervisor at Powder River Coal and loves to fish on hes off time. He is a wonderful man, my best friend and a loving "Dad" to all of the dogs! LOL.

We have three beautiful daughters. Check out their pictures below. Stevi is a cosmetologist in Cincinatti, OH. Alysia works at a coal mine and lives in Gillette. Brooke is going to school at South Dakota School of Mines & Technology in Rapid City, SD. She is pursuing an RN degree. We also have a foreign exchange daughter, Monica Leguizamo, from Columbia. I am an International Exchange Coordinator for EF (Education Foundation) which allows me the priviledge of supervising exchange students from around the world.

I have several brothers and sisters who still ranch, rodeo, train or raise horses. My nephew Cole won the team roping for the state of Texas two years in high school. He ended up 11th in the Nation one of those years. My neice, Jess, won the Pole bending for the Nation in high school a few years ago. We are so proud of them all!

 We show and raise top quality Chinese Crested dogs and occasionally have puppies available. Our foundation stock was carefully selected to provide the best pedigree, movement, topline, temperament and overall quality. We stand behind that quality with our guarantee. De-worming, vaccinations, health testing and microchipping is done on all puppies prior to placement in their new homes.

We are very careful in selecting homes for our puppies! Many go to show homes and many go to be pampered as loving companions. We want to insure that the people who are allowed to purchase our dogs are educated and provide top quality home environments, so do not be offended when you are carefully screened.
