About Our Jack Russell Terrier Puppy Breeding Program

Beverly Stevens has devoted more than 7 years to the preservation and enjoyment of a very special breed of dog; the Jack Russell Terrier. Located in sunny Sacramento, California, Rivers West Jack Russell Terriers offers one or two very special litters of puppies each year to loving, responsible Jack Russell Terrier enthusiasts. Rivers West Jack Russell Terrier puppies exemplify the breed standard with quality puppies of exceptional health, type, ability and temperament. We are active in the conformation ring, and our dogs are bred for agility, hunting and racing. We are members of the JRTCA and the Jack Russell Terrier Network of Northern California. Our puppies are bred for friendly personalities, hunting and racing, as well as for show and breeding, and our lines have been proven through three generations - all of which currently reside in our kennel.

Our Jack Russell Terrier dogs and puppies are an important part of our family. Each litter is born and raised in our home where we provide them with plenty of love and attention from the time they are born to the time they are placed with their new families. We are very proud of our terriers - they are very well socialized and make a loving, loyal addition to your family. Puppies are pedigreed and eligible for registration with the JRTCA at 1 year of age, and we provide a 5 generation pedigree and a breeder's certificate for registration with the JRTCA with each puppy that we place. Our Jack Russell Terrier puppies excel in hunting, agility, conformation, and they make wonderful family companions.

Health Information About Our Jack Russell Terrier Dogs & Puppies

 As responsible Jack Russell Terrier breeders, we carefully research our dog's pedigrees prior to breeding, and screen each dog thoroughly for hereditary disorders. All puppies are vet-checked and vaccinated before leaving for their new homes, and come with a full 48 hour health guarantee to allow time for your veterinarian verify the health of your new addition. We take care of dew claws and tails when the puppies are three days old. Our puppies are guaranteed to meet the JRTCA standard, and we offer a 2 year genetic health guarantee as detailed in our sale contract. If you do not plan to show or breed your Jack Russell Terrier puppy, we suggest neutering them, and we offer a $25 rebate if they are neutered by 6 months.

Buyer Requirements for Our Jack Russell Terrier Puppies

We are careful to ensure that our Jack Russell Terrier puppies are being placed in caring, quality homes and ask that potential buyers make a life-time commitment to their new puppy. Potential buyers are screened under the guidelines of the JRTCA. They must have a moderately large, securely fenced yard, no children under 7 years of age, and have the knowledge, time, ability and facilities to provide the care and attention that the puppy needs in order to live a long, happy and healthy life. Our puppies are sold only to families that will have there puppy live inside the house with them as a part of the family. Jack Russell Terriers are very special dogs that are not the breed for everyone, and we want to make sure that buyers are prepared for the responsibilities that go along with ownership. We offer unlimited post-sale support to assist you and puppy in adjusting to your new life together. We hope that all of our puppy placements are permanent, but in the unfortunate event that the new owners are unable to keep their puppy or dog for any reason, Rivers West Jack Russell Terriers are always welcome back to our kennel!
