About Our Coton de Tulear Breeding Program
As a Code of Ethics breeder affiliated with the American Coton Club and the United States of America Coton de Tulear Club, Windy City Coton is devoted to the health, happiness, and welfare of the captivating Coton de Tulear.
Coton puppies are nurtured in our home with love, laughter, and music. Socialization of puppies is a delightful process and begins from the first day of birth.
The parents of our Coton puppies are not only charming examples of the breed from championship lineages, they are also extensively health tested in an effort to preserve the hardy legacy of the Coton de Tulear breed.

Health Information About Our Coton de Tulear Dogs & Puppies
Prior to breeding, our Cotons have received the following health test clearances:
CERF eye exam
OFA Cardiac Screening
OFA Patella
OFA or MSU Thyroid Panel
Orthopedic Hip Evaluation
DNA Von Willebrand's Disease Type 1
Comprehensive Annual Blood Panel
Our Cotons also receive veterinary examinations at least twice yearly, and annual vaccine titers or vaccinations. Each of our Cotons has their Canine DNA Profile certification.
Puppies receive two comprehensive veterinary examinations before going to their new homes. Also, our puppy contract contains a two year health guarantee.
Buyer Requirements for Our Coton de Tulear Puppies
Human companionship is of paramount importance to a Coton. Puppy placement is reserved for people whose lifestyles allow time to provide the necessary care for a puppy to develop into a happy, well-socialized adult Coton.
